The pandemics accelerated the digital transformation and all the changes in the world and our industry. The translation and localization industry is used to constant change and having to reinvent itself all the time.

We are global: we compete in the global arena which is a challenge as well as an opportunity. We are digital: technology is part of our DNA, we are not technology companies but we innovate with technology. And we implement ISO standards as part of our roadmap of professionalization and maturity as an industry, in order to scale without losing quality.

Standardized processes help us to scale but they can also become a restriction that makes us lose agility and flexibility to adapt to change.

In this webinar Paula Ferrari (COO at Go Global Consulting) will explain how her organization implemented ISO standards with a vision to add value to the company without losing agility. She will briefly comment on the main concepts of ISO 9001 and 17100 and how they impact the culture of continuous improvement. Just like in life, the most interesting concepts are found in the nuances.

It is not a matter of processes versus agility but how both coexist in a productive tension that moves the organization towards the most difficult changes which are the adaptive ones.

Back in 2003 I graduated with honors as an English-Spanish Sworn Translator. During some years I worked as a freelance translator specialized in life sciences and started sharing projects and clients with my college colleague and current business partner: Gabriela Roselló. As projects became larger and more challenging, we decided to incorporate Go Global. In 2016, 2017 and 2018 our company was named among the 10 largest Language Service Providers in Latin America by CSA annual ranking. The company evolved and I also needed to evolve from linguist-entrepreneur into business woman. In 2013 I obtained a Post-graduate Degree in Business Management and Marketing from UADE (Universidad Argentina de la Empresa) and in 2018 I achieved an MBA from IAE Business School. As COO I lead Operations and Sales teams at Go Global. As a born entrepreneur, I am always looking for new challenges to continue learning and growing.
