Opening Keynote: A World Without Work?

Presented by Dr. Daniel Susskind

GALA Global is pleased to announce that Dr. Daniel Susskind will deliver a keynote address on the future of work at GALA Valencia 2024. 

Dr. Daniel Susskind is a Research Professor of Economics at King's College London and a Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Ethics in AI at Oxford University. 

His work explores the impact of technology, particularly artificial intelligence, on work and society.  With the news that automation and AI are transforming both blue-collar and white-collar jobs, Dr. Susskind's talk will offer a perspective on how we can prepare for change - including how to educate and train for the jobs of the future.

His 2020 publication, A World Without Work, was described by the New York Times as "required reading for any potential presidential candidate thinking about the economy of the future" and has been named to many of the most prestigious Best Books of 2020 lists. His TED Talk debunking three prevailing myths about the future of work has been viewed more than 1.6 million times.
