Registrations are open for the first conference hosted by BLISS

BLISS (Brazilian Language Industry Association), Brazil's first association of language companies, was established in 2021 with the primary goal of fostering and preserving a robust association while championing the language industry on a national and global scale. By reinforcing the representation of the Brazilian market, it seeks to amplify its influence and expand its reach. BLISS is committed to catalyzing, advocating, and advancing initiatives designed to bridge the gap between language service providers, the industry workforce, and academia. The association actively disseminates knowledge on cutting-edge language service support technologies and strives to elevate our industry’s recognition. This initiative aims to ensure that both national and multinational corporations can confidently engage in acquiring language services, such as translation, localization, interpretation, proofreading, and content creation, in Brazil.

On August 25th and 26th, 2023, BLISS will be hosting its first conference. The chosen theme for the first edition of the conference is: “Unindo Forças: Inovação, Estratégia e Colaboração no Setor Linguístico” (Joining Forces: Innovation, Strategy and Collaboration in the Language Sector). This will be the first event of its kind organized by a Brazilian association. We will have two days of valuable insights and learning about the language industry, led by renowned professionals from the field.

Venue: Bourbon Convention Ibirapuera
Address: Av. Ibirapuera, 2927 – Ibirapuera São Paulo – SP – Brazil

The agenda includes not only special keynotes from Anne-Marie Colliander and Renato Beninatto, but also presentations and panel discussions on subjects of interest to the industry, such as certifications for the language services industry, tools for LSPs, and professional development and training in the language industry. Check out the program on the event's website at https://congresso.bliss.org.br/.

Additionally, there will be an opening dinner on the first day of the event, and lunch on the second day, all included in the registration fee. Renato Beninatto will be conducting a workshop on Sales, Marketing, and Client Segmentation on August 25th. This 3.5-hour session will be charged separately and has limited seats.
