2M announces Despina Amanatidou as its new Interpreting Manager

2M Language Services, Australia’s leading language service and language technology provider, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Despina Amanatidou as Interpreting Manager. 

With over a decade of experience interpreting in the public health sector, Despina has switched gears to drive the expansion of 2M Language Services’ interpreting department. As an accomplished figure in the industry, Despina brings a human-centric focus supported by a view to innovation to further scale 2M Language Services’ position as a leading provider of interpretation services in Australia. 

In 2019 Despina was the recipient of the Allied Health Excellence Award by the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital for completing projects that resulted in improvements in the care of CALD patients, and the recipient of the Paul Sinclair Award by the Australian Institute Interpreters and Translators for outstanding contribution to the profession through her work as Professional Development Coordinator and for organising the 2019 National Conference in Hobart.

Recognised for her devotion towards enabling sustainable, whole-of-industry solutions, Despina is uniquely placed to accelerate the uptake of medical interpreting services and the easy-to-use telephone and video interpreting app, 2M lingo™, to support 2M’s mission of achieving health equity in Australia.
