Recent advances in technology have so far done little to remove the main obstacle to effective multilingual terminology work in translation/localization projects, namely insufficient time and resources. Consequently, terminology work is still often neglected in favour of more immediate needs. However, AI and NLP technologies can help us make the most out of these limited resources. In this presentation, we showcase how state-of-the-art AI and NLP technologies can be combined with traditional approaches to make terminology work smarter. Included will be case studies showing how these results can be put into practice to streamline the terminology lifecycle.
