NMT is here to stay and is already used widely in large and medium-sized companies. With several years of experience, now is a good time to take stock of requirements, opportunities, and obstacles when introducing NMT. Christian Eisold, a computational linguist working as a language process consultant at berns language consulting, Düsseldorf, will address several essential steps in the NMT implementation process: data acquisition, data preparation, and evaluation before and after system selection. He will also examine the skills required of data managers, computational linguists, and evaluators. Taken together, these insights will help participants understand their organizational set-up needs for running a successful NMT process.
