Wonderful Wicklow, the Garden of Ireland, rich in breathtaking scenery around every corner with majestic mountains and spectacular valleys. Wicklow has been nicknamed the “Hollywood” of Europe. The county has long been a favorite with filmmakers. 

Many popular TV series and blockbuster movies have been filmed here, including Mel Gibson’s ‘Braveheart’, along with other productions such as Vikings, Excalibur and Barry Lyndon.

Home to Glendalough Monastic site (the valley of the two lakes) a monastic settlement founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century and still exuding a sense of peace and tranquility. 

Enjoy a visit of Glendalough Monastic site with a looped walk to the Upper Lake. 

Guests then continue on to see the stunning Powerscourt Gardens overlooking the Great Sugar Loaf mountain after a hearty lunch. There is fabulous shopping also at Powerscourt Gardens.

We will finish our tour of the Garden of Ireland with a stop at the magnificent Powerscourt Waterfall.
