Stay Alert to Phishing Emails Posing As GALA

We are aware of an increase in phishing and spoofing emails that appear to come from GALA. These messages may use familiar branding or language but are not sent by GALA staff and are designed to trick recipients into sharing personal information or moving conversations off secure channels. 

To help verify whether an email is legitimate:

• Check that it comes from an official @gala‑global.org address
• Review links carefully before clicking
• Evaluate if it creates unnecessary urgency
• Requests sensitive information or personal information
• Asks to move communications to another platform

Please note that any open roles at GALA will be listed in the GALA News section of our website. GALA staff will not ask you to move a conversation to WhatsApp or other external messaging services for business transactions or official business communications. When in doubt, contact GALA directly through our website to confirm if the message is authentic.
