IPCITI 2026: International Postgraduate Conference in Translation and Interpreting
Dublin City University's Centre for Translation and Textual Studies (CTTS), in partnership with the School of Applied Language and Intercultural Studies (SALIS), will host the 19th International Postgraduate Conference in Translation and Interpreting (IPCITI) on 3–4 December 2026 in Dublin, Ireland.
This year's theme, "Across Academia and Industry: (In)Visibility and Interdisciplinarity in Translation and Interpreting," examines how the field engages with neighboring disciplines and whether that exchange runs both ways. Organizers are inviting postgraduate students, early-career researchers, and practitioners to explore questions around the field's visibility beyond its own boundaries, the relationship between academic research and professional practice, and how technology and global migration continue to reshape the profession.
Topics span a wide range, including translation technology and digital practices, translator and interpreter training, community and public service interpreting, specialized and audiovisual translation, professional ethics and labor conditions, and translation in crisis and conflict settings. Both theoretical and practice-based submissions are welcome, and the conference will be held in person with provisions for online presentations.

- Abstract submission deadline: 31 July 2026
