GALA Opens Subtitling RFP for 2026 Programming

GALA News,

The Globalization and Localization Association invites proposals from member companies for subtitling services to support the association’s 2026 educational and community programming. The opportunity is open to audiovisual localization providers within the GALA membership, and proposals are due 02 January 2026 by midnight Pacific Standard Time.

GALA produces a substantial portfolio of recorded content each year, including webinars, special interest group meetings, and GALA Academy courses. Subtitling in English is the primary requirement, though proposals may also include closed captioning, transcription, or subtitling in other languages.

This RFP is issued as a quid pro quo exchange of benefits, with compensation offered in the form of membership, sponsorship, exhibit opportunities, or other visibility options to be mutually agreed upon.

“Accessibility is a fundamental part of how we serve our global community,” said Allison Ferch, Executive Director of GALA. “Clear, accurate subtitles help ensure that GALA members can engage fully with our programs, regardless of their level of English language proficiency.”
