Call for Sessions Now Open! Unicode Technology Workshop 2026
The call for session and tutorial proposals is now open for Unicode Technology Workshop 2026! Organizations and individuals wishing to demonstrate leadership in global software, multilingual UX, internationalization, and cultural preservation are invited to participate as session hosts and tutors.
Now in its fourth year, this UTW will be hosted at Atelier National de Recherche Typographique in Nancy, France from October 20-23, 2026 in collaboration with the Missing Scripts Project. The event will engage more intentionally than in previous years with designers, educators, typographers, linguists, digital humanities researchers, and others who use Unicode in practice but rarely have direct channels to the internationalization community who build it.
This year’s expanded program invites these communities into the conversation to share perspectives, surface their priorities and needs, and help shape Unicode’s evolution.
Submit your proposal here! Session proposals must be submitted no later than June 1, and registration will open later in May.
