There’s something that’s been weighing on me.

Over the past months, I’ve spoken with dozens of professionals across the localization industry — brilliant project managers, gifted linguists, sharp engineers, visionary strategists. Many of them had something unexpected in common: they weren’t working. Not because they lacked skill. Not because they lacked drive. But because they had been caught in a wave of layoffs, restructuring, and what many now call the AI madness — a moment of rapid technological change that has left real people suddenly on the outside.

And I kept thinking: this doesn’t make sense.

It doesn’t make sense that companies tell me they can’t find the right talent while talented people tell me they can’t find the right opportunity. It doesn’t make sense that an industry built on connecting worlds is struggling to connect its own professionals.

So I decided to try something.

There’s no monetization model. No hidden agenda. Just a simple intention: help people.

This initiative was born from conversations. I spoke with many companies before launching it. Their reaction was consistent: they loved the idea. They told me they struggle to find qualified professionals who truly fit their needs. They told me they want a smarter, more human way to discover talent. Talent Spotlight is our answer to that shared challenge.
