Since its inception in 1996, Languages & The Media has grown into Europe’s premier conference on audiovisual language transfer, localization, and media accessibility. This three-day event offers a unique platform for professionals to build cross-industry connections, share expertise, and explore innovations shaping multilingual media.
For nearly 30 years, the conference has gathered thousands of industry leaders, translators and researchers with representation from all over Europe and abroad, to discuss and advance every aspect of media translation and accessibility.
Join us from 4 – 6 November 2026 in London to connect with key voices in media localization and engage with professionals from diverse sectors, including broadcasting, streaming, content production, and accessibility services. Network with top industry leaders, researchers, and practitioners dedicated to enhancing global media accessibility.
The Call for Proposals has been launched! Read more about the Languages & The Media 2026 theme, “Moving Images That Move Audiences: Localizing with Intent”, focusing on a human-centred approach to localization and accessibility, with greater emphasis on sustainability, quality, and care rather than speed and technology alone. The deadline for submissions is 16 January 2026.
