Organization Overview

The University of Helsinki, Finland’s Master's Programme in Translation and Interpreting leads to a two-year postgraduate degree within the Faculty of Arts, and is a member of the European Masters of Translation (EMT) network. Students specialise in one of three programme lines: translation and interpreting; translation technology; or court interpreting. The programme comprises both theoretical and applied courses in translation and interpreting from, and into, Finnish. Courses focus on general and LSP translation (business, EU topics, legal, medical, and technical), localization, translation technology (CAT tools, project management, MT/PE, etc.), as well as audiovisual translation.
