Professional Bio
Soeren Eberhardt has three decades of experience in localization, holding roles from translator and localization engineer to program manager and director. At Microsoft for over 20 years, he contributed to global launches of products including Windows, Skype, and Microsoft Teams, driving international readiness and scalable workflows. Alongside his industry work, he has taught localization and CAT tool courses at the University of Washington, City University of New York, Montclair State University, and New York University. He is also a published author of The Little Book of Languages (2013) and The Little Book of Localization (2023). The language with the fewest speakers he has ever localized a product for is Inuktitut.
