I see our industry transforming and want to help us adapt, sharing strategies I’ve learned while guiding others to succeed during this pivotal time.

In your view, what is the primary function and purpose of GALA? How can the association have a positive impact on its members?

GALA should be the active heart of our global industry. This requires more than representation; it demands activism. It means pushing our industry forward by reshaping its foundations. Sure, we need to expand our educational programs and create forums to share real-world experiences, but more importantly, we must invite clients and experts from adjacent industries to expand our vision and enrich our dialogue. The localization industry has become the international growth industry, and it's time we reflect that.

GALA’s impact should be built on the principles of neutrality and unity. I’ve always been adamant that we are not competitors but colleagues navigating the same transformation. GALA must therefore be the inclusive hub for all industry stakeholders, not just LSPs. It must be the platform that identifies our common problems, nurtures solutions by connecting us with experts, and fosters a culture of true reciprocity: give sometimes, receive sometimes, share always.

I am ready to dedicate the time and energy to make that vision a reality.

How have you engaged with GALA as a member?

My engagement is rooted in active contribution. I have presented and helped organize GALA Academy courses, mentored fellow members, and connected GALA with organizations in Spain, including Women in Localization. Alongside my team, I consistently present at GALA conferences (San Diego, Dublin, Valencia), ensuring we always give back.

Why would you make a good GALA board member? What will you bring to the table?

My approach begins with putting in the hours. I believe that what got us here won’t get us where we need to be. As a non-conformist, I excel at seeing future challenges and reacting quickly. Now is the right moment in my career to apply the same dedicated, proactive energy that built my business to serving our entire profession. I am ready to help lead our industry through its next evolution.

Which segment(s) of GALA's membership do you represent? What perspective will you bring?

I represent the mid to small size Language Service Companies.

What is one thing that every language industry professional needs to hear right now?

Technology gives us an edge, but true progress comes from openly sharing successes, failures, and solutions. Our future depends on community collaboration, not AI alone.
