In your view, what is the primary function and purpose of GALA? How can the association have a positive impact on its members? 

In my view the primary function and purpose of GALA is connecting all players in the localization and international communication industry, and exchanging best practices and educational material in order for the whole industry to evolve and thrive.

How have you engaged with GALA as a member?

I started attending local events in 2018 and became a member in 2022. Since then, I have participated in several webinars, as well as the Dublin, Valencia and Montreal conferences. I have been part of the Board of Directors since January  2025, working on the conference rebranding and recent bylaws changes.

Why would you make a good GALA board member? What will you bring to the table?

I’ve led global localization strategies that bridge business objectives with industry innovation. My experience in event and community management has strengthened my ability to connect diverse stakeholders and drive engagement, which aligns closely with GALA’s mission to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across our industry. I bring a pragmatic and results-driven approach, combining operational experience with brand leadership to deliver value and measurable impact for members.

Which segment(s) of GALA's membership do you represent? What perspective will you bring?

I bring the perspective of a technology solutions provider and user.  My career has spanned roles on both the client and technology provider sides, which allows me to contribute insights that connect technology innovation with practical localization needs.

What is one thing that every language industry professional needs to hear right now?

The professionals who combine technological fluency with business insight will be the ones who continue to lead and shape the future of our industry.
