A Year Full of Highlights for Across Systems
Across Systems GmbH is looking back on an eventful year. In 2015, the software manufacturer mainly focused on the development of the new online network crossMarket and the new Across version 6.3. Other highlights included the establishment of the Translators' Advisory Board, new training concepts, and the participation in numerous international events.
"In 2015, we further intensified the collaboration between the Across product development and our users. The establishment of the Translators' Advisory Board in early 2015 was an important milestone. In this way, we directly integrated the experience and requirements of the translators in the further development of Across. Thus, Across v6.3 contains many functions and optimizations derived from the feedback of the Advisory Board members", explains Niko Henschen, CEO of Across Systems GmbH. "Moreover, we now enable our users to integrate third-party systems in their Across workflows in a controlled manner and simplified maintenance of their terminology databases."
crossMarket: New Online Network for All Across Users
In 2015, Across further developed its translation management system and worked intensively on its new online network. crossMarket unifies all Across users, i.e. translation customers, language service providers, and freelance translators, assisting them in presenting themselves in a professional setting and finding new contacts with Across expertise. For translators, the membership also includes the use of the basic variant (free of charge) or the premium variant (subject to charges) of the new Across Translator Edition.
More Than 30 Across-Certified Language Service Providers
In 2015, Across also did a lot in the field of education and certification. For example, new training and workshop concepts were developed, and numerous webinars were held. In October, the "Across Certified" label was awarded for the 30th time to a language service provider. "Across has a full agenda for the new year as well. Last year's accomplishments motivate us to push ahead our projects with the same energy in 2016", says Niko Henschen.
