Translation Management System Users Experience
XTRF™ Translation Management Systems, the leading global provider of translation company management software, is conducting a research project called ‘Translation Management System – Users’ Experience’. The project will analyse the experiences and opinions of translation management system users.
‘Translation Management System – Users’ Experience’ is directed at companies keen to assess and verify the benefits of TMS, and find answers to such questions as:
• Is TMS useful?
• How does it affect company activities?
• When is the best time to invest in this tool?
“We are looking to cooperate with companies willing to get involved in our project and have a real impact on the translation market and TMS development”, says Andrzej Nedoma XTRF™ Managing Director.
The project will involve up to 100 translation companies from all over the world. The selected companies will receive free licence, staff training and technical support for six months. During this period the companies will implement and use the system to work on their own translation projects. The users will then complete a survey covering the implementation process, system benefits on their work, as well as personal experiences and opinions about the product.
The survey report will present findings on:
• Translation companies’ expectations regarding TMS
• System implementation process and introduction into the office workplace
• Impact of the system on company activities
• Effects and benefits of using the system
• Investment playback
One randomly selected company will also be granted a free-of-charge indefinite licence of the translation management system (covering all positions within the company).
The enrolment process is scheduled to take place between 10th June and 10th July 2009.
