Expanded think! Series to Focus on Regions and Sectors

Seattle, USA –  The Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) today formally announced the incorporation of Think Latin America into its events portfolio and unveiled the start of a series of events focused on regional and sector-specific issues. Rebranded as the think! series, the new events will enhance the visibility of regional GALA member companies and highlight topics of critical interest to the localization enterprise.

"Think Latin America pioneered the idea of quality programs sharply focused on doing business in and with Latin America. We're excited to build on this idea and brand, expanding and reaching new audiences around the globe and across the industry," said GALA CEO Hans Fenstermacher.

GALA's first official event in the series – think! India – is slated for 22 November 2013. The one-day conference in Delhi, India, will focus on the rapidly expanding Indian language services market. The event will be open to everyone with an interest in business in the Indian subcontinent, particularly language service providers, managers of multilingual marketing, translators, and researchers. Plans are already in the works for a second element of the think! series in conjunction with GALA's annual Language of Business conference on 23-26 March 2014 in Istanbul, Turkey. Dubbed think! Interpreting and produced in partnership with InterpretAmerica LLC, it consists of a programming channel dedicated to practices and technologies in the professional interpreting sector. The think! series will be overseen by an advisory board, including former Think Latin America creators and organizers Fabiano Cid (Ccaps) and Maria Cecilia Maldonado (SpeakLatam).
