On 28 September 2016, Summa Linguae S.A. ("SUL") signed Heads of Terms with one of the European language services providers, concerning cooperation in the area of employee outsourcing. Summa Linguae is the first language services provider that develops a line of business based on outsourcing of human resources to other entities operating in this industry. This is also the first major project implemented after signing collaboration deal with Indian-based Mayflower Language Services, in which SUL invested in early September this year.

The new line of business will involve hiring project managers and administration and HR specialists working in SUL's offices in Krakow, Warsaw and Bangalore. The main objectives of this business project are as follows: reducing and optimizing costs for our customers and improving project management.

"Bangalore and Krakow are leading outsourcing centres in Poland and India. Our intention is to take advantage of high–class specialists who know foreign languages to offer outsourcing of project and vendor management services, HR services and outsourcing of tasks involving digitization and archiving of documents for small and medium-sized translation agencies. Even taking into account our margin and other operating expenses associated with relocating the processes to another place, outsourcing such services to us is still more cost effective than hiring one's own employees in countries like the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy or the USA. Cooperation with us reduces costs by approximately 30% on average. – Big foreign companies open their own branches in countries like Poland or India – smaller ones cannot afford it either in operational or financial terms. Our offer is targeted at such smaller entities. We want to enable smaller and medium-sized business in our industry to optimize their costs in a way unavailable for them so far," said Krzysztof Zdanowski, President of Summa Linguae.

The translation agency from Krakow will be one of the few companies worldwide offering outsourcing services to other LSPs, and the only company offering such services in Poland. This is facilitated greatly by the alliance with Mayflower which has been providing such services already for a few years.

Summa Linguae was founded in 2011. Just a few months after its foundation, the Company took over two other translation agencies – busy b based in Warsaw and Spectraling from Krakow, which was the foundation for building a strategy aimed at the consolidation of the Polish LSP market. Since then, Summa Linguae has carried out another four successful acquisitions, while 2015 saw its IPO on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. SUL is among the top three Polish translation agencies in terms of revenue. In September 2016, Summa Linguae signed a cooperation agreement and an investment agreement with Mayflower Language Services – an Indian LSP specializing in translation and localization of software, websites and Internet applications, as well as recruitment of employees for customers representing a number of industries.
