Smart-looking and powerful: Plunet releases the 6.0 version of its translation management system

Berlin – The current main release of Plunet BusinessManager sports a brand new design, future-proof workflow automation processes, and now even more flexibility in terms of rights management. Plunet's 6.0 version redefines the industry standard for software-based business and translation management systems – with thousands of users in translation agencies and language services relying on Plunet for their work environment.

The New Face of Plunet 6.0: One of the most obvious changes in version 6.0 is the significantly optimized interface design. Users will be accessing a completely revamped work environment with plenty of functional, as well as visual improvements. For the interface itself, users can now select from a host of different color schemes. A great idea for those, who wish to integrate Plunet now also visually into their or their customer’s corporate design or want to add a personal touch. The introduction of a new, very clear, web-optimized font in Plunet 6.0 will significantly increase the legibility of content. Further improvements with legibility in mind included increasing the font size for headers, replacing ambiguous design buttons by easily comprehensible text buttons, and revising individual work areas to include clear, clutter-free sectional differentiations. The ongoing work on optimizing the Plunet GUI will continue to improve the usability in all parts of the system. Plunet 6.0 is the result of a bid to create more clarity, improve workflows, and ensuring that daily project management tasks are a pleasure to complete.

Workflow Automation in Plunet 6.0 - Automated Deliveries to Customers for a Faster Time to Market: In version 6.0, Plunet has further enhanced the functionalities of its workflow automation. It had already been possible to control all production workflows of a project automatically via predetermined workflow chains. Here a simple example: For the workflow "Translation – Editing – Proofreading", the "Translation" part of the project would begin with the assignment of the task to a translator. Once the completed translation is delivered to the system, the next "Editing" portion of the workflow would be initiated automatically, and so forth. The automated workflow chain would continue running until the final "Proofreading" result was received in the system. Plunet now takes the process one step further, and offers an automated customer delivery step at this crucial juncture. The previously manual job of sending the final delivery of finished projects to the customer can now be defined as an automated task, and integrated seamlessly in the automated workflows. Depending on how the user configures the automated delivery, the customer will receive the project results via email, download link, or customer login. Part of the additional automated step will of course be the update of all project status. For Plunet customers, the automation of the entire production and delivery chain will mean significant time savings, plus an improvement of the overall service quality, as error prone manual tasks are minimized.

Further Expansions of the Rights Management for Additional Flexibility in Plunet 6.0: A professional rights management should be a standard component of any good translation management software. Plunet's offering in terms of its scope and depth of functionality can easily be rated as unique in its class. The new 6.0 version now allows the assignment of highly granulated and flexible reading and editing rights for all subsections under "Contact", "Quotes", "Orders", and "Jobs" for each resource.

Plunet rights management has therefore been expanded to include the entire third menu level. In practical terms that means that specific resources will be able to read information like customer data, and the prices for an order, but will not be able to do any unwanted editing of the information. This functionality is particularly useful in companies with collaboratively organized business and resource infrastructures, as well as very high internal quality and security standards.
