SDL Encourages Consumer Democracy with ideas.sdltrados.com
SDL and customers connect through new online ideas forum
Maidenhead, UK -- SDL, the leading provider of Global Information Management (GIM) solutions, today announced the launch of ideas.sdltrados.com - an online customer suggestions portal for the SDL TRADOS technology community.
The new portal will provide SDL customers with the opportunity to make suggestions and vote on product feature requests. Ideas.sdltrados.com will serve as a virtual "meeting room", providing customers with a space to come together to share thoughts and ideas with SDL product management that will help shape the future of their SDL TRADOS products.
"We are very pleased to hear that SDL TRADOS has developed ideas.sdltrados.com. This website provides us with the perfect opportunity and forum to share our ideas with SDL and other customers," commented Annamaria Tagliabue, Head of Translation Services at Snamprogetti, part of the ENI group of companies.
The contact facilitated by ideas.sdltrados.com aims to create a stronger relationship between company and customer as well as cement SDL's commitment to research and development, according to Keith Laska, Vice President of SDL TRADOS Technologies.
"We wanted to take full advantage of web collaboration to open communication channels between our customers and our team," he explained. "The web has played a central role in enabling communities of interest to collaborate more effectively. By opening up an online portal, our customers can now work directly with our skilled product managers - and each other - to ensure the best in innovation and help shape the future of SDL products."
"We have always valued the importance of our customers' input," Laska added. "With over 150,000 SDL TRADOS professionals working in the translation supply chain, we wanted a central platform for customers to openly discuss what they would like to see in our products. Together with SDL TRADOS product management, we're confident this will lead to continued innovation for the most relied-upon and widely-used translation products in the industry."
