SDL Announces LSP Partner Advisory Board

Advisory Board kick-off meeting at SDL corporate headquarters brings together SDL LSP Partners from around the world.

 

Maidenhead, UK, 22nd July 2010 - SDL, the leading provider of Global Information Management solutions, announced today that an LSP Partner Advisory Board has been formed to represent the interests of SDL's growing LSP Partner community.

 


The mission of the SDL LSP Partner Advisory Board is to represent the voice of the LSP Partner community across the different regions, presiding over technical and commercial aspects of the partnership. Its main objective is to ensure LSP Partners receive ongoing value from the SDL LSP Partner program. The newly formed Advisory Board will  advise SDL of features the LSP community would like to see in the SDL product roadmap and recommend new areas of collaboration between the LSP community and SDL. The Advisory Board will also have a direct line into SDL management and will provide input on current and future policies.

 

The kick off meeting took place at SDL’s Corporate Headquarters in Maidenhead, U.K. at the end of April 2010. Some of the agreed actions from the meeting were:

 

  • To prioritize technology requirements from the LSP Partner community
  • To create a community and promote networking amongst LSP Partners
  • To establish a mechanism for the delivery of  high-priority SDL language technology information to partners

The SDL LSP Partner Advisory Board members include: Paul Mangell -  Alpha CRC, Phil Ritchie - VistaTEC, Steve Desmeules - ACCU Translations, Tim Branton -  aatranslations, Mark Robinson -  Alexika Ltd, Ralf Lemster -  Ralf Lemster Financial Translations GmBH, Gustavo Bernaus  -  PALINDROMO and Keith Laska -  SDL. The Advisory Board members represent each of the three levels of partnership of the LSP Partner program and SDL Language Technologies division. Board members meet quarterly and the initial term of the Advisory Board is set at twelve months.
