New GALA Benefit Saves Members Money

GALA Marketplace Leverages Community Power to Provide Savings

Wednesday, 28 September, 2011

Seattle, Washington, USA
(28 September 2011) -- The Globalization and Localization Association, the largest global non-profit association within the language and localization industry, is launching GALA Marketplace, a new member benefit that offers member companies exclusive offers and special pricing.  Available through the GALA website, GALA Marketplace is open to all individuals from GALA member companies.

To develop GALA Marketplace, the association has used the community buying power of its more than 275 member companies and thousands of individuals to negotiate special pricing on key products and services.  Members can log on to the GALA website to explore the discounts on events, software and more.

“We know from the results of our GALA Member Pulse Survey that our members are interested in using their collective buying power to access special deals and discounts,” said Laura Brandon, GALA’s managing director. “With GALA Marketplace we will negotiate exclusive offers on a continuous basis, always updating the marketplace on the website and providing more value to our members.”

The offers will be presented to members in several categories, including Advertising and Marketing, Publications, Conferences and Events, and Technology and Software.  Initial offers include discounts on Dell hardware, savings on a variety of language and localization software and special advertising opportunities.

“Members should make a habit of checking GALA Marketplace regularly for new and updated offers,” said Brandon.

Members must be logged in to access the offers.  More information can be found at www.gala-global.org.  Members interested in posting an offer to other members may contact Amy Ephrem for details.
