Net-Translators and Multilingual QA Merge to Expand Language Services Portfolio Worldwide

Tuesday, 1 June, 2010

Or Yehuda, Israel and Sunnyvale, CA , June 1st, 2010 ― Net-Translators, a leading provider of translation and localization services, and Multilingual QA, a quality assurance center specializing in localization testing, today announced a merger that will offer customers a complete language services portfolio, including translation, localization and testing ― all from a single provider. The newly combined entity, Net-Translators, is poised to better accommodate a wider array of services and languages and set the stage for future growth and expansion in key regions across the globe. Gal Yissar will remain CEO of Net-Translators and will continue to be based in Israel. Shy Avni, former CEO of Multilingual QA, will now serve as the new company’s vice president of North American Operations.

For four years, industry leader Multilingual QA has served international software and localization companies through an exclusive quality assurance center specializing in testing of localized software, documentation, websites and games in over 30 languages by native speakers. The merger will consolidate the resources, institutional knowledge and testing expertise of Multilingual QA with Net-Translators’ portfolio of high-quality translation and localization services to offer a more extensive language services portfolio under one corporate umbrella.

“The new union offers a more comprehensive, integrated model that will better serve our existing customers and markets, and enable us to strategically enter high-growth sectors where language services and localization are vital,” said Avni. “This gives our customers a distinct advantage; they can rely on a single supplier to help them scale with their growing business needs and still expect the same high quality and customer service on which both companies were founded.”

In 2009, market research firm Common Sense Advisory predicted that the translation and localization market would reach US$22.5 billion by 2012, a CAGR of 10.76 percent over the next five years.  They expect demand  to be fueled by factors including the need for companies to compete for new market share in a global economy and the growing number of organizations adhering to multilingual requirements in regulated industries.

“A unified services offering and a streamlined business model is not only more compelling for our customers, it  offers Net-Translators a distinct competitive advantage as we grow our core business and expand into emerging market segments,” said Yissar.

As vice president of North American Operations, Avni will oversee business strategies and customer relationships in both the U.S and Canada and will continue to champion growth in new key regions.  The transition for Multilingual QA customers will be seamless, with no business disruption to services or existing projects. Vendor contacts and project managers will remain the same. At this time, both Net-Translators and Multilingual QA websites will be separately maintained, and web services such as the newly launched Customer Center portal will be made available to all customers.
