Brno, Czech Republic - February 2, 2010
Moravia Worldwide, a leading globalization solution provider, announced today the promotion of Tomas Kratochvil to CEO from his current role as Managing Director. Moravia Worldwide co-founder, CEO and General Manager Katerina Janku will continue to serve the company as Chairman of the Board of Directors and as a member of the Strategic Advisory Board, and will focus on Moravia's strategic initiatives and growth.
"Tomas has earned tremendous respect with our clients and with all of us in Moravia over the years," said Ms. Janku. "This new role is a natural progression for Tomas, who has grown with Moravia, holding successively significant roles in account management, sales, operations and senior management. Tomas has done an outstanding job as Managing Director, and I look forward to working with him in growing the company and serving our clients, especially as Moravia enters our twentieth year of business."
Kratochvil was selected from a wide list of internal and external candidates in a recruitment process managed by Korn/Ferry International. Kratochvil, who joined Moravia in 1996, graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Brno University of Technology.
