KantanMT Welcomes First Chinese University to its Growing Academic Program
KantanMT expands localization research and education efforts and welcomes Ludong University in Shandong, China to its Academic Partner Program
KantanMT is pleased to announce that its academic program has expanded into China, in a new partnership with Ludong University in the Shandong province. The partnership will allow Ludong university students in the School of Foreign Languages to gain practical experience with customising machine translation systems as part of a course on language technology.
As part of the course D0500035 - Computer Aided Translation, beginning 29 August – 31 December 2016, Director of the MTI Education Center, Joe Zhou will teach 23 Students’ to build and customise Statistical Machine Translation engines on KantanMT.com. The course includes learning how to customise and integrate English and Simplified Chinese SMT systems with leading Computer Aided Translation Tools.
Ludong University specialises in arts, science and engineering. Currently, there are 1401 full time teachers and more than 29,000 students, including 1,300 postgraduates and about 800 international students.
