KantanMT Announces Major Platform Upgrade
KantanMT is pleased to announce a major upgrade of it's award winning Machine Translation Platform. This platform upgrade means that members now enjoy even faster translation speeds using the KantanMT platform. Using compute optimized AWS (Amazon Web Services) machines significantly improves translation speeds of the KantanAPI interface too. Preliminary tests by KantanMT technicians show an increase of 20-30% in translation speed.
“Our goal at KantanMT is to provide the most up-to-date, high performance technology to our members,” said Tony O’Dowd, Founder and Chief Architect, KantanMT.com. “We knew that upgrading our AWS servers would have a marked effect on the speed at which users can perform translation tasks, so we didn’t hesitate at the chance when AWS announced their availability. Users can now run translation jobs at a rate of up to 150,000 words per hour using the KantanMT.com site, and over 300,000 words per hour using the KantanAPI interface – great news for our growing member base.”
This platform upgrade is provided at no additional cost to KantanMT members and completes a major hardware upgrade project that migrated the KantanMT platform over to more powerful compute optimized machines and network cloud-based infrastructure.
