GALA Expands Forum Series with Interactive New Crowdsourcing Forum
Symantec to co-host forum on 23 April
The Globalization and Localization Association, the largest global association for the language and localization industry, is expanding its small interactive forum series to help experienced industry professionals gain and share knowledge and perspective with others working in the same field. First introduced with the successful GALA CEO Forum, the forum series now will include a new full-day forum entitled “Making Crowdsourcing and Community Translation Work for You,” 23 April 2012, in San Jose USA. The forum will be co-hosted by Symantec.
The GALA Forums are intended as peer-to-peer learning and sharing and working sessions for professionals well-versed in the topic. The goal is for attendees to work collectively and to walk away with tangible ideas they can immediately put to use. In order to encourage participation and keep discussions open and candid, the number of participants at GALA Forums will be limited.
The GALA Crowdsourcing Forum is open to decision makers who serve in executive roles in community and crowd-based projects. Attendees can be at any phase of the implementation process, but all participants must be committed to sharing their experiences openly. The Crowdsourcing GALA Forum will be limited to 20 participants. More information on the forum and registering is available on the GALA website. There is a 20-percent discount for participants who register by 23 March.
In addition to the CEO Forums, the GALA Forum series will be extended to other hot-button localization issues in the future. Watch www.gala-global.org or follow @GALA_Global for more information on these future forums as well as other GALA events.
