GALA Announces 2018 Board of Directors Election Results
Seattle, Washington, USA (19 November 2018) – Members of the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) have elected four industry professionals to the Board of Directors for the 2019-2020 term:
- Alessandra Binazzi, Alessandra Binazzi Consulting (USA)
- Marie Flacassier, BeatBabel (USA)
- Pedro Gomez, Microsoft Corporation (USA) – Elected for second term
- Balázs Kis, memoQ (Hungary)
They join the following continuing board members: Klaus Fleischmann, Kaleidoscope (Austria), Kåre Lindahl, Venga Global (USA), and Wafaa Mohiy, Saudisoft (Egypt).
Board Members Tea Dietterich, 2M Language Services (Australia & France), Sabina Jasinska, SDL plc (UK), and George Zhao, Boffin Language Group Inc. (Canada) will conclude their Board service at the end of 2018.

Board members are directly elected by GALA member companies. One representative from each company is designated as the voting contact for their company. Board terms are for two years, beginning in January of each year.
