GALA Announces 2017 Board of Directors Election Results
Seattle, Washington, USA (28 November 2017) – Members of the Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) have elected three industry professionals to the Board of Directors for the 2018-2019 term:
- Klaus Fleischmann, Kaleidoscope (Austria) – Elected for second term
- Kåre Lindahl, Venga Global (USA)
- Wafaa Mohiy, Saudisoft (Egypt) – Elected for second term
They join the following continuing board members: Tea Dietterich, 2M Language Services (Australia & France), Pedro Gomez, Microsoft Corporation (USA), Sabina Jasinska, Donnelly Language Solutions (UK), and George Zhao, Boffin Language Group, Inc. (Canada).
Board Member Jesper Sandberg, STP (United Kingdom) will conclude his Board service at the end of 2017.
"GALA is fortunate to have such a talented group of individuals bring their expertise and perspectives to the Board. And we are all grateful to Jesper Sandberg for his four years of service to the Board," said Laura Brandon, GALA's Executive Director.
Board members are directly elected by GALA member companies. One representative from each company is designated as the voting contact for their company. Board terms are for two years, beginning in January of each year.
