Eule Lokalisierung gets EN 15038 recertification
Kiel, Germany. Eule has again confirmed the highest quality of its services with the successful recertification in accordance with EN 15038, the European translation standard.
In being audited by Germany’s only EN 15038 certified freelance translator Jerzy Czopik, owner of TransDocu, all members of the Eule team have demonstrated their expertise in quality management. Mr Czopik was especially impressed by the stress-free folder structure organization at Eule and the smooth flow of projects for a large ERP client due to extensive quality means and tools.
Eule Lokalisierung GmbH was founded by five former Lionbridge employees on October 1, 2005. But Eule’s history goes back a long way — to the early eighties, to be precise. Jörgen Danielsen founded his first translation company (S&D) in 1983. This company mainly served German and European automotive and mechanical engineering companies (VW, Audi, MAN, Babcock, Iveco). The other founders of Eule joined the company in the mid-nineties. At that time, IT had become the second pillar of work (Microsoft, SAP). In 1998, S&D was sold to INTL.com and thus became part of Lionbridge in 2000. In the Lionbridge years, the Eule founders held managing positions. Today, Eule, with its main office in Kiel and a small secondary office in Berlin, has 14 full-time employees, translates into 65 languages and works with approximately 100 external partners. Eule runs its own Across language server and is a Certified SAP Translation Partner for English to German.
About LICS (the auditor)
The goal of LICS is to harmonize certification for translation service providers. This is achieved by means of a certification scheme that is binding for all LICS certification partners. Born in Cracow, now living and working in Germany, LICS Lead Auditor Jerzy Czopik studied mechanical engineering. Then life brought him to translating, which became his passion. His second passion is computers, so it was reasonable that Jerzy also became a well-known provider of training on SDL Trados and CATs in general.
