Eriksen Translations Celebrates 20 Years of Excellence
Brooklyn, NY -- This month Eriksen Translations is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Founded in 1986 by Vigdis Eriksen, the company has grown from a one-person shop to a flourishing business with 35 employees and an extensive network of freelancers around the world.
Ms. Eriksen, a native of Norway, built the company specializing in Scandinavian translations, and gained a reputation for quality and high standards. Over the years, the company has grown by responding to the changing demands of the marketplace and staying abreast of the latest technologies. In 1994, Eriksen acquired AdEx Translations International, expanding its language combinations to all major languages and becoming a full-service translation company. Today, Eriksen provides translation, interpreting, typesetting, project management, Web localization, and cultural consulting services in over 100 languages. True to its roots, Eriksen still maintains an active Scandinavian department that serves corporate clients, as well as numerous fellow translation providers.
Strategic expansion into new industries has been a key element in Eriksen's development. Today, the company works with an international roster of clients in the fields of finance, health care, education, law, advertising, arts and entertainment, pharmaceuticals, and technology. With the steady growth of New York's multicultural population, Eriksen has become a leading language services provider to the city's government agencies, educational institutions, and health care organizations.
Throughout the past 20 years, Ms. Eriksen and her team have not lost sight of the values that define the company: excellence, integrity, teamwork, and innovation. It is these ideals and a commitment to surpassing the expectations of every client that have been crucial to the company's success.
