One of the UK’s leading localisation agencies, EMPOWER Translate, appoints Dan Peachey as Managing Director.
Peachey previously spent 20 years at Fareham-based translation agency Intonation Ltd., providing language services to a range of industries. Commercial Director from 2014 and Managing Director from 2018 at Intonation, Peachey oversaw three company acquisitions and 500% increase in company turnover. Within the translation industry, Peachey has also served as UK-based Chair of Eulogia, the European Alliance of Translation Companies, and as Vice-Chair of the UK’s Association of Translation Companies.
As Managing Director, Peachey will work alongside EMPOWER Translate’s Chief Executive Officer, Ruth Partington, and Chief Commercial Officer, John Temple, to implement the company’s strategic vision and manage a growing team of in-house staff, as well as partnerships with freelance linguists and fellow LSPs.
‘EMPOWER has an outstanding reputation for revolutionary innovation, client-focus and integrity,’ comments Peachey. ‘I found complete synergy with Ruth and John’s values and human-first approach to business, and look forward to implementing plans for significant and sustainable growth.’
Partington comments: ‘EMPOWER has grown organically from a single desk in a spare bedroom to an enterprise with global presence. I am thrilled to now take the next step of handing day-to-day management to Dan, who shares our vision for an exciting and positive impact on the industries we touch.’
