Conversis creates a world of Global Gurus
17 June, 2011: Oxfordshire - UK-based language services agency Conversis has released a social game that challenges players to test their international business knowledge.
With the challenge to make as much money as possible in the shortest amount of time, players must travel the world making business deals by answering a series of questions about the country they’re visiting.
At the end of each country, players are given a ranking according to the value of the deal they made there. You will either come out as a Global Guru, a Worldly Whizz, Journey Junior, Adventure Amateur or Culture Flunk.
“We wanted to reinforce the message that Conversis helps companies succeed abroad, and we thought, what better way to do that than to challenge people to think about how much they know about business culture in other countries?” says Gary Muddyman, Conversis CEO.
“The challenge with language services agencies is that our target customers are widely dispersed both professionally and geographically, so it’s hard to find the right medium to get maximum impact for our marketing dollar.
“But considering the success we’ve had with our social media strategy over the past few years, we decided to take it to the next level and create a social game. It’s fun, but it’s informative and we really hope it gets the message across about what Conversis does.”
