Clay Tablet V2.5 introduces InSync and Multipoint features
Latest version of popular connectivity software now supports asset centralization for syncing across multiple systems or vendors and powerful sequential work steps, becomes core of complex translation architectures —
BERLIN, Germany (June 9, 2009) - Clay Tablet Technologies, a provider of unique integration software that connects any content management system with any translation system, has announced the immediate availability of Version 2.5 of its core application. Clay Tablet announced the new upgrade at the Localization World Conference, here through June 11th.
Clay Tablet 2.5 includes two important, game-changing features in this major upgrade. The new features, InSync Master Asset Management Technology and MultiPoint Flexible Routing Technology, are both available in the SaaS and On Site license versions. Pricing for all versions remains unchanged.
InSync: Centralize Translation Assets for Maximum Efficiency
InSync Master Asset Management Technology allows translation assets like Translation Memories or Terminology Glossaries to be synchronized across multiple systems, teams or vendors. InSync allows a single system or vendor to be designated the “master” of a particular asset, centralizing control and reducing redundant pre-processing, alignment or updating efforts. With InSync, a single system or vendor becomes the centralized control point, and all other instances get the latest information from that instance. Any changes or updates are sent back to the master instance ensuring the master is always up to date, no matter where it's located.
“Both clients and vendors were clamouring for a way to keep TM's in sync between multiple vendors and systems”, commented Clay Tablet founder and CEO, Robinson Kelly. “There was so much wasted effort and loss of efficiency in having TM's scattered all over, that we had to find a solution. As the efficiency experts – the market expected us to – so we did.”
In multi-translation vendor scenarios, clients can designate a “master asset management vendor” which is responsible for managing the master translation assets – such as TM's or Terminology files. The CT2.5 routing rules continue to manage which vendors receive the actual translation work, the “master vendor” only ensures the translation asset files are properly prepared and kept up to date.
MultiPoint: A Flexible Process to Suit Any Integrated Translation Environment
Clay Tablet V2.5 also includes MultiPoint, Flexible Routing Technology. This allows multiple, sequential step routing of content between systems, allowing powerful content flows like post-editing, between any number or type of systems and vendors.
Continues Kelly, “Many of our clients need more than a point-to-point integration fix. As systems get more open and sophisticated, clients want to be able to choose various best-fit tools and route content seamlessly between them in any way they need. Often, this requires sequential steps, say sending content to a hosted machine translation service, but then on to a preferred translation vendor for post-editing. And while open standards lay the ground-work for this – you need a core backbone or switch to manage the flow, to be the “traffic cop”. CT2.5 is that powerful routing switch. Now we connect anything to anything and route anything to anything in any path or sequence you need. Choose the best tools on the market and we'll route your content between them all, however you need it”
A Neutral Backbone for the Integrated Content Lifecycle
With these latest features, Clay Tablet 2.5 is perfectly positioned to help clients and vendors navigate the ever-more-complicated path toward greater efficiency as the number and sophistication of tools increases. With more choice and increased interoperability, the need for easy implementation and a neutral backbone interconnecting systems is increasing. Further – with multiple integration points across many systems, which are constantly being upgraded, implementing CT2.5 as a neutral connection layer insulates clients from costly maintenance of all those connections. With connectors for all leading translation technologies and a broad range of Content systems, CT2.5 helps clients speed implementation while dramatically reducing total cost of ownership for their wholly integrated translation environment.
