Centrum Lokalizacji C&M Shares its Knowledge and Experience in Localization and Advanced Linguistic Technology Through the Knowledge Base Tool
In order to improve the quality of translation services, Centrum Lokalizacji C&M has launched a new IT tool called Knowledge Base. The tool is designed for both the translators and C&M employees who no longer need to make effort trying to find solutions on their own, which saves them loads of precious time.
The Knowledge Base contains tips and tricks, textbook knowledge as well as procedures showed on screenshots. With the Knowledge Base, the translators have an opportunity to find out how to make the most effective use of the applications that are employed on a regular basis. The articles added to the Knowledge Base include those in which more general topics are discussed, such as linguistics, topics related to translation, using the Internet, and so on.
Another advantage of this tool is that the articles can be created in collaboration with the external translators. The translators cooperating with C&M have been given access to the application so that they can write their own articles which, once approved by our employee, will be added to the Knowledge Base.
The Knowledge Base is first of all the result of the experiences gathered in the course of works on a large number of localization projects and a valuable collection of readily-available information that could shorten the job completion time and which have a significant effect on the final quality of translation.
