Paul Leahy of Oracle explores the possibilities of XLIFF and share how Oracle, a large organization that creates a significant volume of content which is translated in up to 40 languages, has used XLIFF to drive efficiencies across the end-to-end content lifecycle. Oracle's strategy is to build engineered solutions through open technology and standards. XLIFF compliments this strategy and is extensively used through Oracle's Translation Platform. The case study presented will show what is possible with XLIFF including certain controls that can address some limitations that exist with the standard today. Paul will also discuss OASIS XLIFFv2.0, an initiative he hopes will lead to the standard enabling similar success in an open industry ecosystem.
