During the Confederation Cup FIFA 2017 in Russia a Remote Interpretation Center was established and 15 interpreters interpreted more than 50 events in 17 days to more than 6 languages in 4 cities. The Remote Interpretation Center represented a technological breakthrough that allowed the planning and implementation of interpreting services for more than 200 events in 9 languages from a central remote interpreting hub. This session will present the lessons learned, including the pros and cons for this solution.
Andrey Moiseev is an expert in translation, interpretation and internationalization business with more than 15 years experience. He is currently working as the Director of Language Services Department in the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee. Before that he was the Director of a subsidiary of an international translation company in Kiev, Ukraine. He has experience in a number of international events. He graduated from Moscow State University and Korean University.
