The pace of global business is increasing every day, and partners across the language industry’s supplier-buyer divide must find new ways to work together to achieve the impossible. Companies are turning to Agile as the way forward – but change doesn’t happen overnight. By highlighting the specific challenges faced by Citrix in adopting an Agile strategy, presenters Barbara Hoegler and Gerardo Laster will uncover pain points along the localization supply chain and in daily operations, offer their experience of overcoming them, and explain how their partnerships with language service providers have changed as a result.
Gerardo Laster has over 20 years of experience in the publishing, translation and localization industry. He worked at LSPs, content producers, and software companies. For the past seven years he had a leading role implementing an end-to-end solution for the single sourcing of technical documentation, and most recently he took the role of architect of the Citrix Agile Globalization Platform.
Barbara Hoegler currently manages the worldwide Localization Services team at Citrix, a leader in Cloud Computing and Mobile Workspaces. She joined Citrix fifteen years ago as an in-house translator, and moved into the management track in 2000. Her current focus centers on linguistic process optimizations in an agile environment. She also serves as the 2015 Germany chapter manager for Women in Localization and holds an MA from Kent State University, OH, in Translation.
