Details

Jörgen Danielsen of Eule Lokalisierung GmbH and David Canek of MemSource Technologies provide an MT post-editing starter kit that includes the necessary advice to easily start on post-editing with zero financial costs. Much interest has been building up around machine translation post-editing. There has been lots of talk, and now it’s time for some action. Jörgen Danielsen who ran a successful series of workshops on MT at the GALA 2012 conference and David Canek, who led a very well attended GALA webinar on MT post-editing, held this kick-off webinar for their MT post-editing experiment. They gathered a group of translation practitioners interested in initiating an MT post-editing pilot who then shared their experiences and results. Attendees were then given two months to run their own MT post-editing pilots with whatever technology they chose. Everyone's experiences were periodically gathered and shared among the group. A follow-up webinar was then held where results were be summarized, examined, and discussed.
