The market offers exciting options for translation management systems. Solutions are available for free (Open Source, Google, or provided by translation vendor), can be rented (Software as a Service) or can be bought as a full license to be implemented behind your own firewall. But Open Source does not mean you get it all for free. Going commercial does not always protect your investment. This presentation helps you get started on your journey to implementing and maintaining a Translation Management System. It introduces four different implementation scenarios that can be offered to clients, financial implications for both buyers and clients and ways to reduce total translation and localization management costs.
