They will provide insights and best practices of how to mature a localization function and how to elevate the value localization can bring to the table. This will include an overview of the challenges Hartmut's team faced on their journey and how they and the organization mastered them. He will also give an outlook as to what’s coming next (SEO, MT, Quality Left Shift) and how the team approaches these new challenges. Finally the audience will be encouraged to join the transformational journey and learn to fly!

Hartmut von Berg

Hartmut von Berg is Head of Localization at LogMeIn, Makers of Industry-leading Solutions for Unified Communications like GoToMeeting and GoToConnect, Customer Engagement & Support like Bold360 as well as Identity & Access like LastPass. He also serves as the Site Leader for the LogMeIn Karlsruhe office in Germany, driving employee satisfaction, employer branding and LogMeIn’s Mission Possible charity and youth education programs. Maren Bätje-Mbaye

Maren has been working in the localization industry since 2008. At present, she thrives in her current role as Localization Project Manager for LogMeIn. Managing process-oriented projects as well as transcreation and localization of all sorts of business-related content and figuring out workable practices in organizational development in terms of promoting a global (1st) mindset are her primary preoccupations. In her spare time, she enjoys studying I&O Psychology at FOM University and connecting with family and friends around the globe. Her biggest (and yet to be mastered) challenge is to learn the Wolof language.
