Ingka Digital Global Language Services mission is to “simplify multi language communication for co-workers in IKEA, which enable us to reach IKEA customers faster and more consistent, globally”. We do this by “providing solutions, knowledge and best practices, to better connect Content creators/Developers and linguists”.

We have our own machine translation, translation management systems and develop “The Translation Orchestrator”. If you have competence and hands on experience in one or more of these areas, then you are the one we are looking for.


You have experience from achieving a PM-less localization approach and of course you stay up to date with the latest advancements in front-end technologies in localization.

We expect you to have experience from software localization and internationalization, cross platforms, including automation, tooling, deployment and operations.

Depending on which of the areas you have identified your skills in, we will tailor your responsibilities and we expect you to design and support ways of improved internationalization in the development process.

You will take lead in the development of our localization integration platform “The Translation Orchestrator” and be a champion in all stakeholder contacts in the realization of our Localization roadmap.

At last but not least you will expand our capacity in your preferred competence areas of machine translation, translation management systems or develop our localization integration components.

We’re a team of 10 people, who love languages and technology, and how they generate most value for IKEA co-workers. We are quite autonomous and self-organizing, working agile to contribute in the Digital Roadmap, with our set objectives. Which means that we define how we get things done together. We are located all around the globe and contribute with our skills, building on each other’s strengths.
