Japanese Speaking Content Strategist
Our Fortune 100 client is looking for a creative, business savvy Content Strategist to own all Japan Media Programming initiatives for our launch slate. As a Content Strategist on the Media Programming team, you’ll be responsible for owning the Japan programming slate, and developing and creating virtual reality media experiences for our global platform. This is a highly cross-functional role collaborating with Production, Business Development, Product and more to explore and implement world class media for the Japan market. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a growing team and truly own the Japan market programming landscape.
As a Content Strategist you are solely responsible for exploring and building experiences that help define the future of VR. Our teams are focused on creating content that invites users to engage in immersive, real-time experiences. The ideal candidate for this role has a strong knowledge of the Japanese media and entertainment industry, has worked with US counterparts and knows how to build great customer experiences. Background developing business relationships in media and a passion for technology and the VR industry is a plus.
*Develop and refine Japan content strategy and roll out plan to all global XFNs *Lead the virtual reality media experience for Japan *Create Japanese specific media programming calendar, developing content around cultural moments and when needed, advocating for Product support *Partner with Developer Relations on Japanese Media app launches and content releases *Create internal development documentation and best-practices for the Japanese market *Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing and Comms, Production and more in both the Japan and US offices.
*Review and publish Japanese content, curated media bundles for Oculus TV *Strong communication skills across Japanese and American counterparts internally and externally and ability to advocate for needs to leadership *When needed, aid Japanese business partners on Production needs and be hands on with content development
*Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Media, or related field
*4-6+ years of relevant work experience (Tech, VR, Media, software)
*Japanese and English language skills
*Experience developing business relationships or content decisions within Media
*Experience developing partnerships (bonus if in VR or Media space)
*Strong communication and collaboration skills
