GALA Announces the Results of the Board Election 2021-2022

The Globalization and Localization Association (GALA) today announced the names of the four winners of the election for the Board of Directors 2021-2022.

The directors were selected from a pool of 18 candidates and were voted in by the Association’s members. They will help define GALA’s strategic direction and work to promote its essential role in the global language industry.

Three board members will begin their second two-year term with GALA effective 01 January 2021:  Balázs Kis, memoQ Translation Technologies (Hungary); Alessandra Binazzi, Alessandra Binazzi Consulting (USA); Marie Flacassier, Beatbabel (USA). Newly elected is Paula Shannon, Lilt (Canada).

They will join continuing members: María Jesús de Arriba Díaz, Vistatec (Ireland); Kåre Lindahl, Venga Global (USA); Patrick Nunes, Rotary International (USA).

Together, the new Board of Directors will continue to enhance GALA’s focus on strengthening innovation in the language industry and boosting the value of global content and communications.
