Week 2: Same Background, Different Context: What sets us apart?

Live activity: Role play! Breakout rooms in which people from different professional backgrounds are mixed together to play a different role (e.g. if you are a LSP PM, you will try being client PM or vice-versa for the first time).

Week 4: Discussion Panel

We will be discussing some of the presented topics more in depth, as well as other relevant topics that may have not been covered during the sessions. The goal is to create a conversation, sharing different perspectives and giving a voice to the attendees since there are so many different Project Manager profiles.

Verónica García

Verónica is a Department Manager at Semantix focusing on Marketing and Media localization content. With a Master's in Translation and Interpreting she's had diverse roles that provided her with a well-rounded overview of the localization industry as a freelance translator, video game tester at Nintendo of Europe, project manager and managing a department of 50 Project Managers in TransPerfect.

Luciana Gargiulo

Born and raised in a small town in the province of Buenos Aires, but my roots are from Naples, Italy. Studied Sworn Translation in the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina and also took some English teaching classes. Passionate about challenges and coaching. Currently living in Spain and leading a team of project managers in one of the largest LSPs in the world.

Myriam Garcia
Kobalt Languages

As Kobalt’s Operations Manager, I work on improving all the processes and workflows and assure the best end product. I'm also Kobalt's first-ever employee, having worked there for a decade now! My career does not stop there, as I also love learning and sharing, so I'm currently teaching a subject at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and volunteering in the Catalan Chapter of Women in Localization. I'm not only passionate about localization and languages, but also about electronic music, reading thrillers, vegan recipes, and my lovely dog Trax.

Marta Gil

Currently ensuring and leading Localization in MANGO's digital product, particularly in the Content Design team. +4-years’ experience in Project Management and Production Team Leadership at one of the world's largest LSP. Specialties: Marketing, Entertainment, and Digital content, creative and out-of-the-box programs, Localization Consultancy. Translation and Interpreting Undergraduate with a Master’s in Advertising Strategy and Creativity.

Diego Bartolome

Diego Bartolome is the founder of sintetic.ai, a start-up focusing on generative AI solutions. Prior to that, in 2006, he founded tauyou language technology, which provided machine translation solutions for LSPs and was acquired by TransPerfect. In between, he has had leadership positions at TransPerfect (Director of AI), Microsoft (Senior Program Manager), and Language I/O (CTO).
