Q: When/How can I access the event app?
A: All registered delegates will receive an email invitation to access the event app approximately three weeks before the conference. You may access the app via a mobile device (download through your app store) or a web browser of your choice. Haven’t received an invitation email? Email [email protected]
Q: Do I have to download the app to my ios or Android device?
A: No, you are not required to download the mobile app. You are welcome to use the web browser version (URL provided in your email invitation). To reduce the number of times you are required to log in, we recommend following the below instructions to edit your browser settings (Updating Browser Settings PDF):
- All browsers: In your browser of choice, visit https://crowd.cc/galaconnected2021. Log in and complete verification. Bookmark this page. If you do not close the entire browser window (i.e. close tabs, but not the full window), you will remain logged in. If you close the entire browser window, you will be logged out.
- Using Chrome:
1) Click on settings
2) Scroll to bottom of the page
3) Under start up select continue where I left off
- Using Firefox:
1) Click on gear icon towards the right
2) Select General
3) Check Restore previous session

Q: How do I access specific presentations?
A: All sessions will be accessed through the event app. To open the presentation, use the schedule to find the session you plan on attending. Click on the session title to view the details page then click on the “View Session” button. A Zoom webinar window will open up. Enter the password (listed below the button in the app) and you will enter the session.
Q: I clicked on the “View Session” button but the window that appears says to wait for the host to begin the webinar…what do I do?
A: If it before the scheduled time of the presentation, this is normal. You will join the presentation once the host allows attendees in. If you have still not joined the session 3-4 minutes or more past the scheduled start time, try exiting and re-entering the meeting. If the issue persists, please contact us using one of the methods listed below.
Q: How will the virtual networking sessions take place?
A: We will be using the Remo app. Delegates will access the sessions through the event app. Note that the first time you log in, you will be prompted to complete your profile.
Q: Will sessions be available after the live event?
A: Yes, all presentations will be recorded and available after the event. Live-event delegates will receive complimentary access to the recordings. All recordings will also be also available for individual purchase or through the recordings-only registration package.
Q: Will slide decks be available to attendees?
A: The decision about whether or not we share a slide deck is ultimately up to the presenter. If they agree to allow us to share their presentation, you can download the slide deck in the event app. If a presenter has given us permission to share their slides, a PDF of the deck will appear toward the bottom of the session details page.
Q: Can I get a list of all attendees?
A: GALA does not provide attendee rosters. Registered delegates can view the attendee list through the “Attendee” section of the app.
Q: Why don’t I appear in the attendee list in the app?
A: Check your privacy settings. Make sure your profile is set to “visible.”
Q: Who can attend the product demos?
A: Product demo day is open to all who want to participate; no conference registration needed.
