True or False? Ops and Production Experts Make the Best Sales People
Good sales people are hard to come by, often because we search for them in the wrong places. After measuring sales from countless combinations of staffers with different backgrounds, the team at Braahmam found that homegrown operations and production experts were the most successful at selling. Production and Project Management experts had spent significant amounts of time working with clients already; they understood client needs and company capabilities. Teaching these team members to become sales-savvy resulted in greater success—and less risk—than hiring sales people from other companies or industries.
